Basel: pig’s head laid in front of a mosque

Over the weekend, worshippers at the mosque of the Albanian cultural association Paqja found a pig’s head at the entrance to the building. The information was shared on the Instagram account of the Basel Muslim Commission, which called the act “a shocking attack”.

The Commission added: “This incident affects not only the mosque, but the entire Muslim community in Switzerland. Such acts have no place in a country that preaches freedom and tolerance”.

A complaint has been lodged.
