Camaret-sur-Mer: Muslim Supporter Violently Attacked

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, after a football match in Camaret-sur-Mer, a Muslim supporter of Stade Landernéen was the victim of an assault.

While waiting for her companions after the match, two local supporters tore off her headscarf and injured her face. The assault left the victim with a temporary work interruption (ITT) of two days.

Sandra Creff, president of Stade Landernéen, expressed her outrage, describing this act as ‘blatant discrimination’ and emphasizing that this kind of behavior has no place in a stadium, especially during Ramadan.

The victim has filed a complaint and a report has been made to the French Football Federation (FFF). This sad incident revealed a tense atmosphere in the stands, and although some accounts mention a general brawl after the match, the discriminatory nature of the assault is undeniable. The presidency of FC Pen Hir announced that a statement would be released to clarify the facts.
