London: A Series of Vandalism Targeting Mosques and a School

Between January 6 and 25, seven London establishments, including mosques, community centers, and a primary school, were victims of Islamophobic acts of vandalism.

The Metropolitan Police described these attacks as “shocking hate crimes”. Encouraged by a hate group on Telegram, the assaults targeted places such as the West Norwood mosque and the Noor Ul Islam primary school.

The Stratford Islamic Association denounced these acts as “acts of cowardice”. These attacks reveal a worrying escalation of Islamophobia in London. The police have increased their patrols, but no arrests have been made yet.
