Increase in Far-Right Crimes in Germany: A New Record in 2024

According to the media RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland (RND), far-right crimes reached a new peak in Germany in 2024, with 33,963 offenses recorded up to November 30, representing a 17.34% increase compared to 2023.

This staggering figure is expected to rise further with late reports from December.

Violent crimes number 1,136, while propaganda offenses (21,311) and sedition (5,097) dominate.

Experts point to a link with the AfD, a far-right German political party, and call for stronger measures to combat this rise in far-right violence.
