Mosque Defaced with Islamophobic Tags in Moulins

The mosque in Moulins fell victim to Islamophobic vandalism on Saturday, March 15. Tags were found on the facade and in the entrance vestibule of the mosque, depicting symbols associated with the far-right, as well as inscriptions such as ‘Islam out of France’ and ‘Islam get out’. The perpetrators, two minors, were arrested after being caught in the act. One of the suspects is from Moulins, the other from Riom. They admitted to the acts during their hearing. This is not the first time the mosque has been targeted, following a previous act of vandalism in November 2023. The investigation has been transferred to the Clermont-Ferrand Prosecutor’s Office.
