Pas-de-Calais: Plaster Grenade Found Near Saint-Omer Mosque

On Tuesday, an incident occurred near the Saint-Omer mosque (northern France): a plaster grenade was discovered in the vicinity of the place of worship, leading to the intervention of bomb disposal teams. No injuries were reported.

An investigation has been opened to identify those responsible for this “heinous act,” as described by the mayor of Saint-Omer, François Decoster. He also announced increased security measures for places of worship, including the installation of new surveillance cameras.

Last March, the Saint-Omer mosque had been the victim of another malicious act: a pig’s head had been found in front of the building.
