Passport Renewal

I submitted a passport renewal application. However, for two months, there has been no news. On the website, it is indicated that it is still being processed at the town hall. An agent tells me that this waiting time is not normal; it is generally between 15 and 30 days, depending on the geographical location of the request.

Is this true?

TRUE

  1. “Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state. Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.”

In this situation, what should I do?

  • Keep the receipt of the biometric document application
  • Check on the government website the progress of my passport renewal application.

Two messages may appear:

  1. “Processing”
  2. “There is no tracking for this request”
  • Contact the prefect by mail to inform them of the situation
